By creating an account on The Groundwork, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use The Groundwork. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
You must be at least 18 years old to use The Groundwork. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly collect information from users under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account immediately.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password with anyone.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it.
You may not create an account on behalf of another person or use someone else's account.
One account per person. Duplicate accounts created to evade bans or restrictions will be terminated.
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@groundworktogether.com.
You own the content you create and post on The Groundwork. By posting, you grant The Groundwork a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content within the app.
You are solely responsible for your content. Content that violates our Community Guidelines may be removed without notice.
We are not liable for content posted by members. If you see content that violates our guidelines, use the Report function.
The Groundwork is a peer support community, not a licensed mental health service, not a crisis intervention service, and not a substitute for professional mental health care. Our Personal Empowerment Specialist is a life coach and personal development specialist — not a licensed therapist, psychologist, or psychiatrist.
Brotherhood Crisis Rooms are moderated peer support spaces. Moderators are community volunteers, not mental health professionals.
If you are in immediate physical danger, call 911.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988.
If you need professional mental health treatment, contact a licensed provider in your area.
The Groundwork app is not liable for any outcomes, damages, or injuries arising from the use of our crisis features, peer support rooms, or Personal Empowerment Specialist services.
Brotherhood ($9.99/month) and Elevation ($15.99/month) memberships are billed monthly or annually as selected. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Cancel anytime from Settings — Account — Membership Plan. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period after cancellation.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. Contact support@groundworktogether.com for billing questions.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines, at our sole discretion, with or without notice. Serious violations — including harassment, threats, and hate speech — may result in immediate permanent termination without warning.
The Groundwork is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. The Groundwork is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, service interruptions, member interactions, or outcomes from using any feature of the app.
